US_Study (“we”, “the app”) is an independent educational tool that helps adults prepare for the United States civics test and naturalization interview.
This Policy explains what information may be used, how it is handled, what we do not ask for, and what choices you have. By installing or using US_Study, you agree to these practices. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
We do not intentionally request or store: SSN, A-Number, USCIS case number, a required full legal name, a full home address, passports or other immigration documents, or a real N-400 eligibility file.
Yes/No questions in the N-400 style are practice only. We do not receive your card number; Google Play or the App Store handles that.
4.1 Study and progress (on the phone): The device may store: questions practiced, correct and incorrect answers, exam version (2008 — 100 questions; 2025 — 128; 65/20 — 20 questions), language (English or Spanish), favorite answers you choose when more than one official answer is valid, approximate study time, and evaluation data (time per section, mock-interview history). That supports practice, the evaluation panel, and the weekly report. It is not sent to USCIS.
4.2 Settings: In Settings you can: change the language, update your study location (state, city, or ZIP code), and reset favorite answers.
4.3 Approximate location (optional): If you use the location screen or update the area in Settings, you may enter a ZIP code, city, or state. The app may request location permissions (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) and use Android’s Geocoder to estimate state/city and show the governor, U.S. senators, and representative. This is not live tracking or commercial profiling. You may refuse location and skip ZIP.
4.4 Voice and writing: RECORD_AUDIO is used so you can speak with the tutor Noah. Speech synthesis and recognition run on the device. We do not build a permanent commercial biometric voice file.
4.5 Technical data: Device type, operating system, and language. The 3-day free trial is calculated on the phone from install time.
4.6 Messages, feedback, and weekly report: Weekly report is created on the phone. Suggestions sent by the user are transmitted to Firebase (user_feedback) and/or by email through Formspree. Fields typically include technical user id, body, date, study location, language, and platform.
4.7 Subscriptions: If you use the subscription screen, Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchase handles weekly and monthly options. The app stores subscription status to open or restrict advanced sections.
Whenever possible, voice, answer checking, reading, writing, and progress stay on the phone.
Practice sentences are compared with the target sentence for educational purposes only. This does not extract an identity document.
It may include N-400-style eligibility practice, civics, reading, writing, and the Oath. It is not an official interview and does not send data to USCIS.
Noah reads questions, listens to answers, and guides reading, civics, and the Oath. It is not used to build a commercial biometric profile.
Study data, favorites, and reports stay on the phone while the app is installed. Uninstalling removes local data. To request server-side deletion of suggestions, contact: lujanjesus81@gmail.com. Do not send immigration documents in that email.
